Andy Halder with his WBF Intercontinental
Championship Belt being congratulated by manager Jack Weaver and Master
of ceremonies Noel Ennis minutes after beating Roddy Doran for the Title
at the Liquid night club Shrewsbury September 12th last year, in my opinion
andy won this fight by a far bigger margin than the one point the referee
decided on but in all fairness to the REF with just a few of Andy's supporters
in a hostile venue all standing except for a few ring side seats I dont
blame him
Andy will need to go into this
second fight with a lot of resolve and get Doran out of the way so he can
start building again then after another three or four bouts look for shots
at the English and British titles again it was no disgrace to get beat
by Scott Dann who is a top class fighter.
REPORT IN THE SHROPSHIRE
STAR
Shropshire's Roddy Doran has
issued a "don't write me off" plea to his army of supporters as he prepares
for an earlier than expected return to the ring. The Shrewsbury boxer has
seen his comeback fight rescheduled for a fourth time and he will now meet
Andy Halder in a re-match for the WBF inter-continental middleweight belt
and Midlands titles at Coventry Sky Dome on Saturday June 18, despite meeting
Halder a week earlier than expected, Doran remains confident of making
a winning return.
