On the 16th July 2005 the granite hard boxing machine that is Jimmy Vincent fights for the Vacant British Welter-Weight Title against the unbeaten Michael Jennings 26 wins out of 26 bouts the fight takes place at the Reebok Center, Bolton, Lancashire. Michael Jennings gets his chance against Jimmy due to the comings and goings of David Barnes whom Jimmy gave a bad beating to nearly two years ago Jimmy won in every department but it was one of those nights in boxing when every person who watched the fight knew Jimmy won except the man in the middle who gave Barnes the decision. On a previous page I showed you Michael Jennings record and asked you to judge for yourself how good he is, he is highly rated in the UK Europe and the Commonwealth.  Jimmy has not fought since the 6th December 2003 when he went in against top man Eamonn Magee at Cardiff for the vacant WBU Welter-Weight Title Jimmy lost over 12 rounds. His fight before that against Barnes17/07/2003 We all know what happened that night.  Jimmy fought the highly rated David Walker 21/12/2002 at Dagenham Walker was one of the top boys then Jimmy gave him a brutal beating that night TKO round eight. The last fight I am going to mention took place 26/04/2002 against our own Coventry favourite Darren McInulty in Coventry Jimmy won TKO round six Jimmy Vincent made his Pro debut against Roy Williams 19/10/1987 at Wolverhampton winning on points over six rounds. Jimmy's record Won 21 (KO's 9) Lost 18 Drawn 2 Total 41.
