j The following is an extract about The Queens Cup from Kevin's web site. I (Kevin Houston - Capitol Promotions UK) was invited to the Yodsanan Nanthachai and Lemont Pearson WBA world title fight in Thailand December 2002 to honour the King of Thailand for his 75th birthday. The event was staged in front of 60,000 people at the Kings palace in Bangkok and theTournament was called The Kings Cup Since this tournament took place, I’ve been negotiating with Songchai Ratanasuban (Thailand Promoter) to hold a similar tournament in the UK called The Queens Cup.This tournament has been officially sanctioned by the British Boxing Board of Control as the Queens Cup.The Ricoh Arena is the perfect venue to host this tournament. It is nice to see Mr Boxing Kevin Houston bouncing back on to the boxing scene Kevin hopes to make this a yearly event bringing boxers together from all over the world. The  Matchmakers are
Jack Weaver and Richard Poxon (B.B.B.C.). this event will be good for Coventry boxing because it involves Kevin Jack Weaver and Owen Delargy ( Stevie Bendall now on Owens books for two more fights ) Three other Coventry boxers are down to fight our own favourite " Simmo " Roy Rutherford and South African born Harry Ramakgoadie. The first Queens Cup will be contested November 2005 full details on Kevin's web site you can link direct from Coventry Boxing main page.
